If the South is going to rise again, you are going to need a lot of yeast to make it happen - its as flat as a pancake at the moment....So you are painting your troops are you - fantastic news - I expect to see then round about the same time as they prove the Loch Ness Monster exists or D Trump says something sensible ...as far as paint goes, most of mine is Resene test pots......rrosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07316317334203888350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484771182186129498.post-72317120856531132242017-04-08T13:03:42.623+12:002017-04-08T13:03:42.623+12:00How dare you Sah - I resemble that remark! But the...How dare you Sah - I resemble that remark! But the South will rise again... Great pics Keith and a good battle report, just not a good battle... For me. Just to clarify a couple of points; I had THREE regiments of infantry not "4 or 5", and the two page rule set is perhaps not as well thought out as it might be, unless I win of course. The battle in question I think, is The Battle Of Gaines Mill, otherwise known as The First Battle of Cold Harbor or The Battle Of Chickahominy River, and was the third of the 'Seven Days Battles' and was fought in Hanover County, Virginia on June 22, 1862. the Rebs won it, sort of. Well the Yanks left and they saved Richmond. Always wondered why the opposing capitals were so close...I think Jules picked it because it was the first battle to use large numbers of cavalry, so he could show off his newly painted figures. And weren't they lovely? Shame you killed them all Keith. I'm still writing the bereavement letters to the families... but it's inspired me to get going on ma boys. Anyone know a good place to get paints, etc? Cheers. ;) John Leighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11933571989225769631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8484771182186129498.post-18641215688602167282017-03-26T00:35:43.758+13:002017-03-26T00:35:43.758+13:00Thanks Phil - the pictures do not always do them j...Thanks Phil - the pictures do not always do them justice - the lighting is very subdued at my friends house!
