Gaming mate John was a bit slow off the mark sending me his images - maybe he was still a bit punch drunk from the battering Bruce gave him on the Rebel right wing?!
I know from the many positive comments that a lot of readers enjoy these, so I decided they deserved a post all of their own - and this is it. I have included the subtitles that came with some of them from the photographer
Confederates arrive.....
Artillery lines up......
The Rebs are in fighting spirit!
And take over the town
But the Yanks arrive
The Irish Brigade!
Union Cav ,,,,,
Waves of Yankee Zouaves
A closer look .....
But Nicks troops ain't scared....
Union cannon attempt to pound them into submission
Johnny Reb has cannons, too,,,,
But not as many as Billy yank
Reb cav ....
Clash!
Come on, boys!
Guns getting closer
Hand to hand!
Let's go, boys!
Union cav
And that's our lot
As a special bonus extra - gaming mate Julian has recently been in Quebec and sent a few images through - this could end up inspiring us to refight the Habitants and Highlanders Canadian Wargames Group FIW campaign!
Some lovely dioramas, I am sure you will agree. Maybe a small reinforcement for my British FIW collection is in order.......hmmmmmm!
