Ok that's it for this post - it's been a long week and a long night and time I hit the hay!
You have certainly been cracking through these Keith…
ReplyDeleteSplendid stuff indeed…
All the best. Aly
Cheers Aly...I do find 20th century and later figures a lot easier and quicker to paint than earlier periods
DeleteBeautiful work Keith. I can't remember the last time I saw midnight, I very rarely make it to 10pm.
ReplyDeleteYes but sounds like you get up quite early, Lawrence? I have to, for work, but given the choice and a quieter house, I wouldn't get up till 8 or later!
DeleteI’m with you Lawrence! I rarely make it to 10pm.
DeleteHalf the FtF games I play don't finish till 10pm or later...then I have 30 to 45 min drive home!
DeleteGreat work on these Keith
ReplyDeleteCheers Scotty
DeleteGood animation on the figure and nice work on helmet / epaulettes bits of colour / white. I would not dare to attempt either!
ReplyDeleteThank you Norm. I find the helmet decals rela easy but the Waffenfarbe on the collars could be done better I am sure!
DeleteThese are fine-looking Germans, Keith.
ReplyDeleteDanke schon Herr Freitag!
DeleteGreat looking early war Germans, Keith!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean, appreciate your comments!
DeleteVery nice Germans. Good winter potential.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joe!
DeleteNice work there Kieth on the Germans - glad to see your pressing on with the 28mm WW2 Project and enjoying it greatly....certainly like to see the 1/57th Kit Vehicles you'll be using for your games. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kev! I went a bit OTT with vehicles, mainly because a few came up on an online auction site very cheap....the first three have been built and mostly painted....I just need to psyche myself up to try and do the transfers...a task I dislike intensely!
DeleteGreat work Keith and well done on had painting the feldwebel stripe and helmet insignia etc!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Steve....just in the house now after a few hours in the garage at the painting desk, so there will be more show and tell soon, no doubt!
DeleteGreat work Keith. They all look fab, but I particularly like the crusader mg and mortar teams.
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard - it's certainly a classic pose, with the LMG resting on the number two's shoulder - I don't think I would have liked to be the guy who had a red-hot machine gun on my shoulder, six inches from my face, though!
DeleteGreat looking Germans sir!
ReplyDeleteYou are most kind, Michal!
DeleteNicely done: a good, quick post with some nice figs and pix. I should learn from this and do more of the same (as opposed to holding off and making each post something of a "project").
ReplyDeleteStay up till midnight and its a great motivator to just load the pics and post it, Ed!
DeleteGreat looking figures Keith and well done on making it to midnight! Well past my bedtime now 😊
ReplyDeleteLol....thanks Ben, as it turned out, it was closer to 0100 by the time I got to bed, but who's counting?!
Deletegah, the title put my high school German to the test....
ReplyDeletedidn't help there was nothing about torpedoes firing and no cuss words. those I know really well. 😁
nice job on the miniatures!
Lol, I had to use Google translate myself, Stew (and yes, I did do three years of German at high school too)
DeleteGreat looking Germans, can't help thinking of the Ramones!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain!
DeleteThe two manufacturers mix in really well. Makes for some good looking and interesting bases of figs. Good stuff Keith!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai, there are a few minor differences in style between the different figures, but not enough that they don't work together, fortunately.
