More 3D printed miniatures, mostly RKX from Australia but also a few of the more recently arrived Polish prints. There are nearing completion, and they should hit the blog over the weekend

Now onto the BM 203mm mortar - this came from Australia but isn't RKX (they do one, but this is another brand)
I am very pleased with how this has come out - but I am unsure it will ever get onto a full-size table - I will doubtless work it into a solo scenario at some point!

Finally, a truly iconic pose - I am pretty sure this is based on a famous wartime photo

DeleteGreat work all round there Keith:)! Even though the mortar would rarely be seen on the table, I've seen shots of them in Berlin '45, so perfectly plausible to have one in action so to speak. As for the print lines, I can't but help see them due to my previous job, but honestly once on the table and in action, you forget about all the 'faults' with your painting etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve - they are pretty obvious with my "painting" glasses on, but I had not noticed until I started working on the face. Its the only one with the issue so obviously a production fault of some kind. The rest of the figures are beautifully produced

DeleteThat gun is a Green Monster, isn't it? Great pose with the officer holding pistol overhead. I have seen a similar posed photo only showing a German.

DeleteGreat work Keith, and that Soviet mortar looks like it could be suitable for a pulp game as well. I recognise that Soviet officer pose. From memory the photo was taken from around waist height looking up with only the sky as background, and came across very much like a propaganda picture.

DeleteKeith, the tracked howitzer is a must for taking down those pesky buildings blocking line of sight into the park. Also good for renovating city blocks, the odd government building, etc. Nice collection of late war Soviets.
