Well, they could be - they could be any of a number of other regiments wearing brown coats with red facings, too!
I quite like this colour combination
They really are very nice figures!
I don't recall what the flag is either - I am channelling my inner Ridley Scott with some of these units!
That's the lot for tonight - a couple more still to come, and I have started work on Perry plastic French Chasseurs a Cheval - so they will make an appearance in due course, too.

Beautiful work again sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal!
DeleteLike waiting for a bus Keith, as two come along at once (or nearly)! Lovely figures as you say and I do like the brown and red combo, which just seems to work a treat. If anyone queries your flag choice, simply ask them: "were you there?" 😉!
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve - and that is exactly the Ridley vibe I was aiming for!
DeleteSmashing stuff, I too like the brown and red. I already have 15mm AWI but I’m finding myself circling the Perry’s web site a lot, you know just dipping in now and then for a quick peek at the 28’s. Not that I’m going to buy any, of course, ((coughs)) but if I did for some reason, would that count as going down another rabbit hole if I’ve already “done the period” in a different scale?
ReplyDeleteI see no problem with your potential "rabbit hole" JBM - mind you, I have WWII collections in 15, 20 AND 28mm now, so "he would say that, wouldn't he?"!
DeleteA great looking unit, Keith, I love the brown coated AWI regts. All those nice colour combo's. Nice flag too, I don't recognise that one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray - it's a nice-looking uniform, isn't it?
