Insanity Continues

This is going to be my shortest post ever I think - one picture.

I blame my mate Nick - he is a "Primate member" on local online retailer "Mighty Ape" and gets extra discounts plus free shipping - last time this deal came up, it was NZ$174 - so how could I resist this one (for reference, NZ$105 is US$62 or GBP 46)

I will probably sell off the IS II (and the tankmen on foot) because I really don't need five of the things - more T34 and KV are welcome though, as they can pop up from 1941 onwards, so useful in most eras on the Ost Front

I guess in another month, Nick will let me know I can get the same deal for $89 .......  sigh!

  1. That looks like nice collection Keith. Of course, if you do sell off the IS II you'll no doubt find a scenario the following day that needs five of them.

    1. Haha....thanks Lawrence....it is a risk I am willing to take, I think! So far, the majority of my Soviet armour is late war...I need some T26 and BT 5/7 for earlier periods...plus, I should really get some softskin tows and transport

    1. Its value for money, no doubt about that Ben - a single 28mm tank kit would be $50-$60 here - you would be doing well to get two models for $105!

    1. Thanks Donnie - yes, with my mercurial brain, I am thinking I might even get $40 for the IS II on its own!

  6. I think at that price it would have been rude not to buy it :-)

    1. It was a great price for sure, Joe! "Need" in this context is definitely a subjective description......

  8. What can you do when it screams "buy me while I'm on offer"?

  10. Just goes to show that when the mojo is low there’s still enough to buy stuff. It’s planning ahead for when the mojo returns. 😀
    And that’s a nice bargain.

  11. It would have been terribly impolite to not buy it at that price, just think how much you're saving as,er you spend the money?
