Another Game of "Green Hordes"

Another week has passed by without much being achieved hobby wise - I have just had too many distractions! So, the end of the week arrived, and we played another game of the Green Horde Zomicide, with Chris substituting for Andrew this week.

Here are some images I took and a whole lot more close ups supplied by mate John.

First up, a couple of AI generated images of our band of "survivors' as they are termed in the game. You can choose from about thirty different "styles" so here is one each of Digital Art, Fantasy Art and Cinematic

Plus, an extra bonus one!

The game was a bit of a slog, and we lost a survivor along the way - Asim the Arabic warrior in the blue headscarf - but we finally manged to achieve the mission (recovering keys to the blue and green doors) and removing some of the Necromancers secret artifacts. We also killed off an abomination, several necromancers and a ton(ne) of zombie orcs!

SURPRISE! Its a Necromancer.

Many zombies arriving at a spawn point

I ran this character this week, Megan the Mercenary

Here she is in all her AI glory!

I dont think I got a decent image of the trebuchet last time - a very nice piece of kit!

Megan and Rolf (Julians character) dealing to some Zombie Orcs

I grabbed these two Orc runners' mid game to move them two squares, by pure coincidence, they ended up interlocked, and Julians daughter Charlie cooed "Awwwww, they are holding hands.... take a picture for your blog!" So here they are!

This must be early on because Asim is still alive!

Rolf the barbarian was MVP with a weapons combination that sliced through zombies like a hot knife through butter, although the only weapon that could kill the abomination was the trebuchets, and Berin the dwarf fired the killer shot quite early in the game, which was nice!

Now follows a series of close ups from John, I will add descriptions if I can be bothered!

That's it for tonight - we are all at Julians again tomorrow for an all-day game of V&F plus lunch to celebrate the big man's 70th birthday, using his original boyhood collection of 30mm Willes Figures, which, as he quipped, are almost as old as he is!

  2. Those AI-generated images look great Keith. Every one has the usual two arms and legs, as opposed to one or three. It sounds like you're enjoying Zombicide. I wish now we had encouraged a few more games, but unfortunately two members of our Saturday group were totally disinterested.

    1. Thanks Lawrence - Zombicide is fine but about half our group would not be interested, either!

  4. Another fine beer and pretzels game there Keith and as always, the figure sculpts are superb, especially when looking back at those early Minifigs ranges! The AI images are frankly incredible and as i think I mentioned in your last post, lots of graphic designers et al must be worried sick about the future. I believe one of the main wargames mags has used an AI image for its front cover.

  5. These models are quite incredible as are your AI renderings. Which AI engine are you using? I look forward to seeing a return to some historicals.
