More WW2 Red Army Figures

Regular readers must have guessed by now that when I got a reinforcement of 3d printed figures for the Red Army, some of them would be of the female persuasion!

This is an SMG squad with LMG support

For some reason (sexism/gallantry??) the LMG number two carrying extra ammo is male!

Some nice figures and really easy to paint

The paint desk has been back to pre Christmas productivity, so more figures will be appearing soon.

  1. Great additions there Keith and no surprise that you had added another bunch of 'femma fatales' to your Soviet troops:)!

  2. Nice figures Keith, and none of the fine ladies are built like a shot putter either!

    1. Maybe you should add a question to the GWS about whether you have any female warriors in your collection, Jon?

    2. I am sure lots of younger sci-fi and fantasy gamers would answer yes!

  4. Female soldiers…well I never! Nice bit of painting their Keith including some probably very fiddly red star cap badges.

    1. Haha...thanks JBM. Actually, thanks to the crisp, clear details of 3d prints, the stars aren't as hard as you might imagine.

  8. So many SMG's in the hands of angry ladies doesn't make for a fun event.

    Liking these very much Keith.

    1. Thanks Dai, some might say they are particularly dangerous 3 or 4 days each month but I couldn't possibly comment!

    1. Thank you Peter...again, it's as much about the great detail 3d prints provide as it us about how I apply the paint, but I am pretty happy with the results.

  12. Wonderful work Keith. What is the percentage split between your male and female Soviets? 50:50?

    1. Nah - it might seem like that Ben but more likely 80/20 male - I do have 2 lots of 40 each - Wargames Factory and Warlord Winter infantry - plus 20-30 3d men - probably have 40 women tops..

  13. Wonderful Keith and clearly not to be messed with—although I note that a couple of them brought a bouquet with them?! :)
If it's 80/20 what is the total count, it must be a sizeable force now?
    Best wishes, James

    1. Thanks James...I like a few flowers on my bases to brighten things up! I would guess 150+ infantry and support weapons...maybe I will do a count.....

    2. 150, most impressive!
Yeah, I like the flowers on your bases. Has a bit of added je ne sais quoi in these cases.

    3. Thanks James - I remember seeing them at a wargaming "show" in Auckland 15 years ago or so - they must have been a "shiny new thing" at the time cos I had never seen them before - I started putting them on my own bases maybe 5 or 6 years ago - I don't always do it but I think they look good!

  14. Keith, I have to join the chorus....very nice work on the figures. You continue to provide equal opportunity for the female combatants! ! Will you be parading the recent units?
