From The Painting Desk and Some More Holiday Snaps

The first few Bolt Action hard plastic WW2 winter Germans have been completed

There are six basic bodies, and a multitude of heads, arms, weapons and kit

I avoided using any late war stuff - MP44 etc - because I want to be able to use them from 1941 onwards

Another four of these teams to come over the next wee while

Now onto day four of our S Island trip - we returned to Dunedin from Gore

Lake Waihola

Next stop was Tunnel Beach

A local father had the tunnel dug so his daughters could access the secluded beach for swimming

On to Dunedin city proper by mid afternoon

The famous Dunedin Railway Station

Some beautiful Victorian or Edwardian architectural details

Central Dunedin had quite a few attractive old buildings

The offices of Otago Daily Times (OTD) the local newspaper.

The "Octagon" - the centre of the business district, is mostly bars and restaurants nowadays

The main shopping street running off the Octagon

Next time, we head north to the Steam Punk capital of New Zealand - Oamaru.
