AS these recently painted figures will appear in my AAR on Sunday or Monday, I thought I might as well give them their moment of glory on the blog first. These are the last three squads of 6 figures each (less one who hid amongst the detritus of the painting desk until I was finished and was packing them up for transportation to Barry's place - so be it, he misses out!)
There really isn't a lot of need for descriptions, so I won't do many
I posed the LMG crew together
The next squad includes an officer in iconic black leather coat!
He has to be a baddie, hasn't he?
Some of the heads in this kit have great expressions on them!
I didn't do too many in the Feldmutze cap, but this was a nice look I thought
I noticed the wooden handle of the "potato masher" grenade wasn't painted - that's now been rectified!
Finally, this is a 3d printed Kubelwagon that's been sitting around waiting for attention for about six months - nice to finally get it completed!
I put the officer there for scale - I think it looks fine.
That's it for tonight - it took longer to take the photos than to complete the post - which isn't always (or even often) the case! Game report up next in a couple of days' time.

DeleteGreat work Keith and I see what you mean about the expressions, they look a real determined looking bunch! The Kubelwagon looks a nice little model and works well with your infantry. A nazi officer in a black leather coat, yep has to be a real baddie!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Matt - they were my first wargaming love too much to the dismay of my mum who lived through the war as a teenager and retained a dislike of Germany and the Germans for most of her life. Nowadays, I am more open to other armies too!

DeleteI think the Kubelwagon wheels/tires are a bit too chunky but that doesn't worry me, in fact, better that, than very accurate ones that snap off all the time because they are so delicate!

DeleteThey look great Keith and the light drybrush on the greatcoats make them look like they've been kissed with frost:). Yep, any German in a black leather coat is always going to be a Baddie for sure! Nice to see the kubelwagen finished too.
