Not a lot got finished this week, but here are the ones that did - Battle Honours 28mm 3D prints again - this time Red Army tank riders.
There are six in the set but I managed to knock the barrel off an SMG in the process of setting up the image, so I didn't include that figure .....GRRRR!
Their chariot is one of my IS II late war heavy tanks.
Looks like these two guys are trying to chat up the female tank commander!
Lovely figures - I have another set still to paint in the summer side caps and then, I may just have enough tank riders.... although I still fancy the Bad Squiddo ones......!

Lovely tank riders, Ive got bad squiddo tank riders to do but, dont have much impetus to do them, even my IS2 has sat primed since last year!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain - hope to see your IS II and the BS (unfortunate abbreviation!) Tank Riders emerging from your painting queue soonest!
DeleteLooks like a productive week to me. Good results too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jon....in truth, there are a couple more completed things but I like to have something in reserve!
DeleteGood to see you cracking on old fruit. Nice job all round.
ReplyDeleteThanks JBM...nice to see you still commenting 😘
DeleteNice work Keith... I too am experiencing the Blogger delay.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark....the delay didn't seem to affect me much the last time around....bloody technology...although if something is free, you generally get what you pay for!
DeleteNice work as always, Keith. Love seeing Soviet armor with tank riders.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean - me too, they are so iconic!
DeleteGreat work Keith. I think even a Soviet soldier would hesitate to chat up a female armed with a HMG 😁
ReplyDeletePity about the SMG but I hope a little dab of glue will fix it.
Thanks Ben - depends how much vodka (or brake fluid/distilled boot polish etc) they have had to drink, I suppose.......
DeleteYes, I will be able to fix it up, it's just a nuisance having to do it so many times with that particular set
Nice work Keith, they have turned out really well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donnie, I am pleased with them too.
DeleteNice work Keith and a very traditional approach for Russian players
ReplyDeleteCheers Matt. tting exposed to the elements and enemy fire seems to have been almost uniquely a Soviet idea, although I have seen models for British and German tank riders...I even have a few of the latter in 20mm from AB Miniatures 😳
DeleteBeautiful tank riders sir!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Michal - they are very nice prints
DeleteLovely tank riders Keith, superb poses and paint job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. The Battle Honours figures are excellent prints.
DeleteGreat looking tank riders, Keith.
ReplyDeleteCheers Richard
DeleteReally nice work. Seem to have missed this in my feed
ReplyDeleteThose tank riders look great Keith and should work well for your games. I'm sure you will succumb to some Bad Squiddo figures, it's just a case of when, not if;)!
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve and absolutely no doubt - if it wasn't for postage, I would have them already!
DeleteMore lovely examples of Soviet craziness. Shame about the gun barrel mate, hope it's an easy fix.
ReplyDeleteTank Riders always look cool. I don't know how games like Chain of Command treat them, but Bolt Action rules for them are rubbish so I've only ever used them once I think, maybe twice.
Thanks Dai - the gun barrel has been fixed so hopefully I don't manage to knock it off again!
DeleteWe don't really have any special rules for the tank riders - I guess, like a soft skin, if the tank is hit, the infantry would automatically take two hits and be deployed adjacent to the wreck of the tank
Thanks Scotty - so good, you said it twice?! 🤣👍
