Testing Blogger with a Painting Desk Update.

Here are some more newly painted support weapons for my Red Army WW2 Soviets - all 3d prints from Battle Honours once again.

It's not long since my last post but I am just testing to see if the delay on Blogger showing posts is over, as Jon at PWJ has just hypothesised in a comment to Iain. I am posting this at approximately 0900 (2200 Fri in the UK 0800 Fri in West of the US) Sat morning in NZ and will check Jons blog once done, to see if/when it appears

These two match the first one I did with grey coats and white fur on their hats

For variety, I did the other set of three in various shades of khaki green coats and brown od grey fur trim

I also varied the basing a bit - still some snow around, but the first signs of a spring thaw are there too!

I did the second HMG team the same way

And that's it for today - let's see when this post actually appears on PWJ!

Comments, as always, very welcome!

    1. It looks like the new summer intern at Google in charge of Blogger has got up to speed and things are back to normal. 😂

    1. Yes, I wonder if it's about the time of day, like you mentioned previously Jon? I have noticed with the AI images, I have more issues and delays at certain times than others...

    1. Cool thanks Dai - they turned out OK I think - probably more mortars than I will ever need for a game!

    2. That would depend on how big a game and table you're playing on no? ;)

    3. That's true, but even on the 6 x 18 table at Barry's, 6 mortars might be excessive....mind you, the Russians did like their artillery support.....!

  8. Excellent work there Keith, with very nice basing and love the last photos, which is very evocative. BTW your post seems to have appeared here in Blighty right on queue, with no time delay. Fingers crossed things might be getting back to an even keel on the posting front...

    1. Thanks Steve...pleased you like the look of the figures! Hopefully the Blogger issue is fixed...but it may just be because I posted at a relatively quiet time on the net..
      More data is required...

  9. I am reading this at 3:18 Eastern US Daylight Savings ,
Anyway. The crews are very cool, should be great add to the effort against the invaders. Funny how in the three section shot all the coats look correct.

    1. Cheers Joe - I did notice, after my post, there seemed to be a gap of several hours before anything new turned up on Jons PWJ blog - but maybe thats just a timing thing....

  12. Very nice, the subtle shading on the caps works well. Suddenly a clump of posts have hit my feed, Google must have ‘unblocked’ the flow …. Not a tech term I imagine!

    1. Glad you like them all Norm - who knows if Blogger is "fixed" or it's just the time I posted at, and next time, I will see a delay of several hours again....?

  13. I really like the colours you use on these Russians Keith. Great work. I wondered if the delay had something to do with the frequency of posting, in that if you post one shortly after another it appears as it should. Either way, there is a problem with the Google bot that checks for new posts and updates the feeds which no doubt someone has fiddled with looking for 'improvements'.

    1. Thanks for you approbation Lawrence! As for Blogger, it seems to be doing weird sh1t at the moment - hopefully it will settle down but if not, I will just adjust to the new reality I guess!
