Another small order from the good bugger at Pot Belly Miniatures in Wellington, New Zealand
Nice sturdy packaging and well protected inside
Despite this, a few minor damages - it's one downside of the 3D prints - great detail but they are a bit fragile
A couple of missing mudflaps (they were in the box and reasonably straight forward to super glue back into place) Plus a couple of the tarp supports on one truck were cracked - super glue fixed that up, too!

The three trucks, plus six passengers, were the full order this time!
Great looking 3D vehicles. The details look really good.

Thanks Ben - yes, I can't really complain - the models are just a bit fragile - they were well packed in a good quality carton - but any sudden knock in transit is likely to cause some minor damage unfortunately!

DeleteNice looking vehicles Keith. The fragility of the resin casting is one of the things putting me off some of the 3D printed figures.
ReplyDeletecheers Mark - yes individual figures do sometimes lose the barrels of rifles etc, which can be annoying. The first batch I got from JJG in France were slightly "rubbery" - I was a bit disappointed when they turned up but that consistency actually means they are similar to the old Airfix and bend rather than snap off

DeleteThese models look good! My only critique is that the cab of the American truck does’t look quite right. Looks like it has been “chopped.”

ReplyDeleteThose look like excellent additions to the Red Army! The print quality and crisp detail on the Katyusha and the Lend-Lease trucks look absolutely superb. It is a bit of a shame about the fragile nature of the resin in transit, but it sounds like you sorted out the minor damage quickly with a bit of super glue.
