Unfortunately, I do not really have a good space with adequate lighting to capture the entire collection en masse. Following are what I was able to achieve - not great, but at leass it gives an impression of my progress so far - 4 squadrons of cavalry, 6 battalions of infantry and a senior command stand.
In the painting queue now are a further 6 battalions of infantry - one all grenadier unit for the Lifeguards plus three in Karpus and two in tricorns,
Not a lot to say - as I mentioned at the start, the pics are not that great. I have started work on the Livgarden til Fods grenadier unit so should have them ready by the end of the weekend. I also have some images of a couple of fantasy skirmishes I had with my friend Andrew on Sunday so will post these in a couple of days probably
Splendid looking host! You seem to have produced them very rapidly too!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain, I did make nice steady ;progress on the first batch - now need to maintain motivation for the next six!
DeleteKeith, a handsome force and you seem to have got to this point in double quick time. I think a force of this size is very handy to reach as you instantly get into the Neil Thomas area of having enough for a quick game, while reinforcements get done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Norm, just need my mate Nick to get his Rissians ready for a drubbing!
DeleteLovely force you've put together. Looking forward to seeing further progress
ReplyDeleteThank you Neil...more Swedes are in the pipeline
DeleteHi Kieth- My-My- you have been rather busy and all is very impressive! I've been looking at 10mm Old Glory- 7Yrs War...I'm tempted- though not certain about postage and service from the USA- I find if I have to wait a long time for delivery of an order I loose complete interest.. Have fun there. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Pendraken and their SYW ranges. You could certainly contact Leon and find out lead times and postage costs to see if it's a better option or not compared to Old Glory.
DeleteThanks Kev...I have purchased a fair bit from OG in the US over the years add have always had great service. If you ask them, they will send items using US Post rather than FedEx which saves a fair bit on postage
DeleteGreat looking force Keith 👍
ReplyDeleteCheers Matt, it is getting there!
DeleteImpressive work, such a good looking force.
ReplyDeleteThank you, appreciate your comments!
DeleteA magnificent collection Sir!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray, just hope I can get them into combat sometime soon....
DeleteExcellent! You have made great progress on this project, Keith!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon, they do look quite impressive all together
DeleteNice to see all the recent miniatures at once. Looks good. Enough for a game surely. Nothing like playing a game to fuel the painting. 😀
ReplyDeleteYes indeed Stew...hopefully their maiden action is not too far away
DeleteAn impressive parade Keith and great to see your hard work on the painting front is paying dividends. I look forward to seeing them in action:)
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve, I look forward to sharing images of their first engagement too.
DeleteGreat work at a brisk pace Keith. It really is quite satisfying when you can look back at a completed mass like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence....yes, it really doesn't feel like I have done a lot of work on this project, but it looks quite impressive laud out in the table!
DeleteGreat progress Keith in a short time.
ReplyDeleteThanks, as per my comment above...it's quite a decent looking array!
DeleteA fine looking parade sir...
ReplyDeleteLet’s hope they fight as well as they look.
All the best. Aly
Yes indeed Aly, .a well known sentiment made famous in the first Dirty Dozen movie of course! Although that responsibility mainly lies with their commander.... oh dear!
DeleteThey look great Keith. Wonderful to see them all on parade.
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thanks James, another unit has been completed this evening and the next started, it's a real production line at the moment!
