Here it is, in all its glory. I also counted (very roughly) what has been painted:
15mm WWII - 120 infantry, 4 x 25lb guns and crew, HQ, Command, Carrier and FOO
20mm (SCW/WWII) Pz I, 88mm gun and 82 infantry.
28mm - 36 Napoleonic cavalry. 12 GNW Swedish Cavalry, 180 GNW Russian Infantry 2 Russian Guns, 24 Russian cavalry. 24 ECW Infantry. 5 foot Reivers and 2 mounted. 4 Austrian mounted commanders. Napoleon and Marshal. 6 Last of the Mohican characters.
Blitzkrieg Germans: 125 infantry, incl 2 HMG, 3 50mm mortars, 1 80mm mortar and 2 ATR's.
1 37mm AT and 5 crew. 6 motorcycle combinations and 4 single motorcyclists. 1 SdKfz 221, 1 Opel Blitz truck, 3 Sdkfz 251/c, 3 PzKfw 38(t), 2 PzKfw III - 7 crew and 8 seated infantry passengers.
Now the pix!
JULY
Impressive body of work, Keith! Your GNW figures were my favorites to see marching out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon, I need to get the GNW troops in action again in '24....
DeleteThe most recent German motorcycles have caught my attention, but as said by Jonathan, the GNW come in as my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThank you Norm....scrolling through comments so far, it seems a popular choice!
DeleteThe GNW only wins by a whisker this time, with the Germans nearly pipping them at the line. The latter take me back to my Tamiya modelling days and the badges on the helmets etc. I don't think I could be bothered now though!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve, I have enjoyed the relative simplicity of WWII Germans!
DeleteI love the command car from July. Just waiting for a Field Marshall to hop out with a monocle, holding a dachshund under his arm!!
ReplyDeleteAlso most impressive work sir! Well done.
DeleteThanks for both comments Steve!
DeleteAn amazing year of quality brishwork Keith.
ReplyDeleteGNW and motorbikes were my personal favourites.
Cheers Richard...probably mine too!
DeleteGreat work Keith, really enjoyed your work on the Blitzkreig Germans. You need opponents for them now
ReplyDeleteThanks Scotty.....they do have opponents ready and waiting, just not in my collection! Still thinking that one over!
DeleteExcellent brushwork all year long, Keith. Love seeing your projects progress along.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dean - in case you are wondering, I am only replying now because I found your comment in "spam" (along with one from Jon and another from Dmitry) just now and have released them all!
DeleteVery impressive Keith…
ReplyDeleteSome fine additions to you collections and proof indeed that the Wargames Butterfly is strong in you..🦋🦋🦋
All the best. Aly
Haha....too strong, probably, Aly! Here's to 2024!
DeleteGreat stuff Keith. I too like the GNW figures as they are particularly eye-catching, but everything looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence...and considering your output last year, that is praise indeed!
DeleteFantastic stuff...and for obvious reasons I love your GNW stuff!
ReplyDeleteThanks John and yes, with your own beautiful collection of GNW, I can understand they might be your favourites!
DeleteFantastic work Keith. I looked at September and imagined the GNW artillery facing off against the Panzer above. 😂
ReplyDeleteLOL Ben - I am reading James Holland "The War in the West - Germany Ascendant" at the moment and just saw a line a couple of nights ago describing the Norwegians using a gun that the Brits thought looked like it came from the Napoleonic era - so not so far off, really!
DeleteSome very nice figures and models completed. I like the newspaper headlines as a backdrop for some of your photos. I must have missed them the first time around.
ReplyDeleteCheers Peter - to be fair, I post so often, if you blinked, you might miss a couple!
DeleteThis is a very impressive result, Keith! The vehicles you did is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Dmitry - hope all is well with you!
DeleteYou made the year quite productive. The motorcycle troops are so good for Pulp and WW2 and the GNW are very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Joe, hopefully I will get the motorcyclists into a game later this month.....
DeleteImpressive totals. Great job over the year across many genres. 😀
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew. I remember you had a project to paint up 100 vikings in a year...do you have anything similar planned for 2024?
DeleteA good year of painting production, by any measure. It's been inspiring to follow along.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words and support, Ed!
DeleteA good productive year Keith 👍
ReplyDeleteCheers Matt, I thought so, too!
DeleteSome lovely work throughout the year, Keith!
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter. I felt like I got a good bit done!
