Here is the easiest and quickest of Peanut Butter and Jelly posts - a parade of my recently acquired and painted bargain 28mm WWII Soviet infantry!
A table full of Red Army soldiers
The nursing contingent
VERY happy with these for the UK equivalent of 15 quid and a couple of hours at the painting table!
Another full parade image to end on!
Noe, in deference to the season, these unusual "figures" have appeared around our house in the last few days - along with hot cross buns and chocolate eggs!
Nice to see your Russians on parade, lovely looking force and they were a real bargain too!
ReplyDeleteSpasiba, tovarich!
DeleteBeautiful collection sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal!
DeleteYou have gathered a good pairing of eastern front forces in a relatively short time. I have been quite impressed by the 3D offerings within this collection, very dynamic with good proportions.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Norm! Possibly, I might add a few more 3d Soviets (of the male variety this time!😀 ) I will have to think about that further. I am now kicking myself I didn't pick up 3 x 1/56 T34 tanks for about 40 quid a couple of months back...!
DeleteGood parade, keep them away from the Finns.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe! Yes, I don't want them all wiped out in the first turn they play!
DeleteGood looking parade Keith.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased you think so, Richard

ReplyDeleteVery nice collection and mustered under budget. Great accomplishment!
DeleteThanks Jon.
DeleteWhat a ruddy bargain.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly were, JBM!
DeleteThat is a decent sized force Keith. It will no doubt give you many hours of enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping so, Lawrence...might even get a few small scale solo games in?
DeleteTremendous! Great to see the force on parade.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ringing endorsement Muchael!
DeleteMarvellous parade Keith. They are a bit more 'shooty' than the usual one in Red Square!
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thanks James....true story re Red Squre...hopefully, it stays that way too!
DeleteGreat looking collection Keith. They should be able to keep those bunnies at bay.
ReplyDeleteThose are VERY BIG bunnies in 1/56 scale, Ben....they might need a ZIS or T34 to stop them??! 🐰
DeleteRed Army on the move..the Easter Offensive has begun!
ReplyDeleteTime to smash the fascist bunnies 🐰!!
DeleteA nice almost 'Easter Parade' there Keith! With the Soviets you really do need lots of them to get that feel of a large mass of men and materiel versus the smaller Germany army. Something that is going to happen at some point when I can motivate myself to delve into the lead pile alongside painting a Battalion that is already based.
ReplyDeleteDue to the early Easter this year, it doesn't feel like it is close yet, probably due to the never ending inclement weather here in Bristol. Let's hope it clears up in time...
Thanks Steve....so. what you are saying is "buy lots more Russians, Keith!"
DeleteI know what you mean about an early Easter....here. it is often adjacent to Anzac Day...which is 25 April, but this year, it is about three weeks before that!
Basically, yes Keith, you need more Russians;)!
DeleteLol....thought so!
DeleteIt’s a great collection! It should serve you bravely. And if not, have the commissars shoot someone. 😀
ReplyDeleteThat's the spirit, Stew!
DeleteExcellent collection of Russians and great value
ReplyDeleteCheers Scotty...it was a lucky find, for sure!
