There was a total of ten figures (2 packs of 5) in the fairly recent arrival from Lon at Brigade Games, but I already painted one of them previously!
Listed in the "Mob Wars - Gangster Era" section of Brigade Games website as Gangster Dolls I and Gangster Dolls II, I am hoping to work them into some inter war Pulp action - at some point, in the dim and distant future!
Most of the photos are not the clearest I have ever done, but I can't be bothered going back and setting it all up again - sorry!
And by way of something slightly different, my wife and I attended the wedding of our friends Russell and Jenae (who were last seen on our Rarotonga trip a few months ago) on Thursday. They were married in a venue near Te Awamutu, about 90 minutes south of where we live. As it is a second marriage for them both, it was quite a low-key affair with mainly family attending, just finger food after the ceremony and no dance etc - but at our age, that suited us fine!
Nice assort of Painted Ladies and doubly good to see the goods flowing from Brigade Games to NZ.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon - Brigade do have such nice figures, I am glad my last order went through without any hitches!
DeleteLovely looking miniatures sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal!
DeleteVery nice work on some really interesting figures, be interesting to see what games they end up in, a fair few possibilities I would imagine!
ReplyDeleteCheers Donnie, hopefully I get them into action soon 👍
DeleteGreat dames as always! Looking forward to your games where they no doubt will be stunning. BTW , Nice venue in real life for the wedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe, I hope I don't keep you waiting too long!
DeleteStunning, although I have no doubt that they will pack a punch on the table.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot, Michael
DeleteNicely painted and all are armed to the teeth with suitable getaway vehicles.
ReplyDeleteCheers Peter, glad you like the vehicles too!
DeleteLovely looking figures Keith, can't wait to see them used in some pulp games
ReplyDeleteThank you Scotty 😊
DeleteSome excellent additions there Keith, with the 3rd figure being my favourite, maybe because of the Peaky Blinders vibe. Let's hope this doesn't go into Spam and that I might even get notifications of replies, as currently the latter is not happening:(.
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve...Venus must be in the ascendant, your comment made it straight through today!
DeleteGreat looking figures Keith. Not sure they are proper gangsters as they are not holding their pistols on their side 😁
ReplyDeleteFantastic place for a wedding. NZ seems to have lots of these delightful places. Very jealous.
Thanks a lot Ben, and it was a very pleasant wedding venue!
DeleteNicely done as always Keith. And looks like a lovely place for a wedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, and it was!
DeleteNice work on the new female figures Kieth- certainly you are very productive when it comes to painting up new batches. Cheers. KEV.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev, being called productive by you is a real compliment 👍
DeleteOutstanding figures. The first one has a Bonnie Parker type vibe!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Mark! There is a group of four Gangsta Gals from Bob Murches Pulp Miniatures that has one I am sure is based on Bonnie Parker...they could possibly be on my to do list!
DeleteNicely done Keith. The colours you have used look perfect for the era,
ReplyDeleteCheers Lawrence...I do have a bit of fun with painting these, as more or less "anything goes"!
DeleteNice looking Dames Keith, they look like they could be really mean :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers
Stu
Depending on the scenario, Stu, some of them undoubtedly will be!
DeleteGangster Doll sounds like a pet name for my wife that I need to work into rotation somehow.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the miniatures. 😀
If Gangster Doll is an appropriate pet name for your wife, Stew, you are a lucky man! 💃🕵♀️👩🦰🫦
DeleteLove looking additions to your collection Keith…
ReplyDeleteThe Tree Church is very unusual… I am quite surprised there aren’t more of them around.
All the best. Aly.
Cheers Aly...I have been to a similar set up for a previous wedding about 18 months ago, so, maybe more of them around in this neck of the....pun intended 😀😉😜
DeleteAll good story telling characters.
ReplyDeleteThey will be Norm...I need to stop collecting characters and start writing a few chapters now, though!
DeleteSuperbly worked figures Keith.
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, Richard!
DeleteGreat looking lady gangsters and scenery, Keith!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like both Dean!
