British 18th Hussars - Completed.

Tonight, I present the second three stands of Perry plastic 18th Hussars, and a couple of pics at the end of the entire unit.

I have enjoyed doing these so much that I have gone straight on to the Warlord Union Brigade box, although I will be using the bicorne wearing heads to make standard heavy dragoons for the Peninsular era, rather than any of the units that comprised that brigade - six of the twelve have already been assembled and undercoated!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like the finished unit - bright red coats next time!

    1. Thanks Donnie. The dragoons have been on my "to do" list for a while, so will be good to see how they turn out.

  6. Yes, the full job is looking good. They must have pleased for you to jump straight onto another box of cavalry. My latest strategy is to always have something primed - that gap between completion and the next job not being primed can suddenly become a big gap.

  7. Great work Keith. Were they easy to assemble? I had a look at that AWI Continental deal you mentioned which is great value but was a bit put off by the additional pieces over and above the equivalent Perry plastics.

    1. Thanks Lawrence....funny you ask that question...for Napoleonic cavalry, the Warlord only have four parts...body, head, right arm and combined scabbard/sabretache....the Perry cavalry had about 7 or 8 pieces!

  11. Great work there Keith, but I don't think I could cope with doing all that detail in 28mm these days, or if I ever could when much younger and with better eyes and hands! Looking forward to seeing the chaps in red:).

    1. Thanks Stene.....the detail is a bit hit and miss...it's nice when it works but I don't put in the effort to get it showing up consistently 😅
