My last weekend of freedom before the dreaded return to work tomorrow ....imagine Muttley from "Wacky Races" swearing amusingly.....! In between eating and drinking sessions, I managed to paint a few more of the Reaper figures for the Pulp Project.....
Chinese Villain - who will be added to one of the Warlord factions
Female Samurai number two from Bad Squiddo - red themed clothing to tie her in to the Japanese faction
The last of The Three Samurai - Bad Squiddo again, dressed in red - not too sure about her lips, I may redo them
Bob Murch Pulp Figures Evil High Priestess - dont know what she will do, but perhaps the focus of a scenario at some point?
The High Priestesses assistant, with sacrificial dagger on a scarlet cushion....
The Reaper Femme Fatale - I decided she will be a French agent, hence the blue clothing
I have yet to decide on an appropriately suggestive French sounding name for her!
As an aside, here's an image of one of the major causes of delay in my painting ...
That's my painting chair she is sleeping on.....!
Great looking additions
ReplyDeleteThanks Scotty - hopefully, one day, I will get them into a game!
DeleteThe dames is gorgeous, but poison! Nice concept & execution.
ReplyDeleteCheers Joe - I saw a painted example where the guy had written something a la Chandler " At 30 feet, she looked all class....at 10 feet, she looked all made up to look all class at 30 feet.....!"
DeleteGreat additions once again Keith and the first figure reminds me of the old Fu Manchu films we used to see as kids. As a retiree and now full time carer, I'm sort of not at work but at the same time am 24/7, if that makes sense. At least I don't have to worry about office politics but in contrast dealing with local government is, shall we say, rather exhausting and stressful!
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve - yes I can imagine - have had some exposure to dealing with that type of bureaucracy here too!
DeleteKeith, you produce yet another fine group of Femme Fatales. The Japanese Samurai look superb and your Evil Priestess sublime. I try to imagine how you will fit all of these interesting figures into a game.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I think you are over thinking it Jon - I am just buying figures I like the look of, and painting them! I suspect some may never feature in a game - OR they will just be extras as scene dressing.....
DeleteHi Keith, although I’m retired I’m part timing in a local dairy and I’ve 30 ton of Mozzarella to shift tomorrow. Wouldn’t go back into an office again whatever the pay was. That Japanese girl is hot. Love the kimono dress details. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteCheers JBM - I have a notion I might carry on doing some kind of paid employment after my indenture expires in about five years - but it wont be anything like what I am doing currently!
DeleteLovely looking minis sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Michal - I can only imagine how fine a job you could do on these figures!
DeleteMore great pulp figures Keith, and your choice of colours on these seems spot on.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence - most of the examples of the European Femme fatale have her in red (A scarlet woman!) but as I have chosen red as the Japanese team colour, I had to do something different - I think she has come out well!
DeleteLoving the villain and the High Priestess, so much scope for different scenario's
ReplyDeleteCheers
Stu
Thanks Stu - lets hope so (see my comment to Jon above.....)
DeleteLovely additions to the pulp project Keith…
ReplyDeleteYes the end of holiday blues… I had just gotten into the swing of things… and then all the extra painting time had to stop…
Never mind… the weekend is only five days away 😁
All the best. Aly
That is very true Aly - and hopefully, my nwxt game of Sharpe Practice is only three days away - Weds evening!
DeleteLovely pulp ladies Keith. Do not disturb the kitty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dean.....I still have scars from the last time I tried to move the kitty when she wasn't ready to move!
DeleteThose look all really nice; such a troublesome bunch of females. Including the cat. 😀
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew - yes, she is definitely the most troublesome!
DeleteGreat looking bunch of pulp heroines! Second week back, hey it doesn't get easier!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain......yes, I know! I was just calculating, at the end of this week, it will only be forty eight weeks till Christmas again......😂
DeleteAnother good looking bunch for your pulp collection, especially liking the female samurai and the designs on her kimono.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dai - I am having a lot of fun painting these one off figures where I can make up any clothing design I feel like!
