Recently Painted.......

A true Peanut Butter & Jelly (copyright Stew 2022 all rights reserved) post tonight with some recent output from the painting desk.

Firstly, the repainted versions of my recently acquired bargain basement 3d printed Opel Blitz trucks.

The close up is not very kind - they ARE pretty rough!

Another two of the four

And the final one, alongside the JJG version for comparison - apart from size, there really is no comparison!

But at "gaming distance" on last Sundays table, I think they look fine.

Next up are the four servants for M'lady de Winter in my Four Musketeers collection.

I am sure these figures may come in useful in other scenarios, too!

And finally, for this post, the next four Crusader "First Nation" warriors.

Another four Woodland Indians are in work at present, plus some other tasty morsels for the next post - see you again then!

    1. I gotta say that Truck #1 looks like it has been driven hard and put away wet.

    2. Thanks Jon, I think the first truck is the roughest of a rough bunch 😬

  2. The trucks paint up well and look fine on the table. Really like the servants, very nice figures and I can imagine being very useful too. Your collection of Woodland Indians continues and very nice additions they are too.

    1. Thanks Donnie, I agree about the multi functionality of the servants!

  3. Those trucks look fine to me and like you say at 3ft on a gaming table you can't tell them apart.

    1. Cheers Scotty...most seem to agree they are adequate and for soft skin transport, I would rather have four for forty bucks than pay two hundred!

  4. Wow, diverse periods and great looking minis, I do like this!! High class Four Musketeers collection, very impressive!

  5. A great mix, I agree on the trucks... A late friend of mins used to say the same about being 3ft from the figures, but we spend so much painting time looking at every detail.

    1. Thanks Stu...as a tight Scotsman, I am prepared to overlook the rough and ready nature of the 3d prints, particularly for trucks...if it was a tank or armoured car, I would probably pay extra for better quality!

  6. Great looking trucks, nice servants and warriors too!

  7. Lovely work all round Keith, but I especially like the trucks as it shows how a great paint job can lift up even the roughest sculpts.

    1. Cheers Lawrence...no doubt, I could have tidied the trucks up a bit with a sharp blade and file, but I am happy enough with how they came out and they were table ready the day I bought them!

  8. Looks good to see the various projects continue to be painted and posed. Since the butterfly moves in this area as well. The best of show was the Musketeers era figures. Indian warriors are always a treat, the trucks certainly have a fair amount of stories to be told. Nice work.

  9. Excellent figures across a range of interests. Where will the butterfly settle next.

    I love M'lady de Winters servants…
    They look like proper snobs…

    All the best. Aly

  12. How does one such as yourself decide what to paint? Sit down at the paint desk, with various miniatures strewn about, close eyes and choose randomly? Lol.
Thanks for the rights reserved. Patent pending.
Kidding aside, stuff looks nice. Trucks certainly look fine at gaming distances and the servants spot on. 😀

    1. Cheers Stew...to be honest, I just think...what's next...and pull something out of the drawer I have all my unpainted stuff stored in! Once the woodland Indians are done, in a day or two, I have a fair few 28mm Spanish Civil War figures to start working my way through.....

  13. Love the pompous faces of the servant figures. They will be first to be put to the sword no doubt? Or are they the Musketeers in disguise?

    1. Thanks Ray - the sculptor has done a great job with the faces, hasn't he?! Late response due to the fact your comment ended up in spam, along with one from Steve J about our Sunday Colonial Pulp game from a week ago.... the vagaries of Blogger!

  14. I'm sure those trucks will look fine once on the table, but given the quality of 3D prints these days, I'm surprised this printing system is still being used for models, even though they should be more durable. Lovely work on the figures too:).

    1. Thanks Steve, I am picking they might have been a home print job, and possibly a few years ago....they will work fine for me though!
