Blitzkrieg Motorrad Madness Continues

After posting about my recent arrivals yesterday, I jumped on the 1st Corps site - and ordered up MORE motorcycle troops!

I think when these arrive and join the 3d prints I already have - that will probably be enough! It's certainly plenty to represent a motorcycle riding recon unit for 1940 Blitzkrieg games.

This is what I have invested in:

And here are images from the website here:

It's possible I may do one more MC combination, so I can convert the side car passenger into an officer - will shall see if my low-level OCD makes that happen or not - I might just settle for an officer wearing a helmet!

    1. Hi Bruce - yes, very happy - but didn't really want another half dozen exactly the same! I considered getting some side car combinations by Warlord from Mighty Ape but at $26 each, I might as well get something a bit more unique in the shape of the 1st Corps ones - that my logic, anyway!

  2. Good looking unit in the making. Cyclists are always so cool looking.

    1. Cheers Joe - actually, the 3D guy makes real cyclists ie on push bikes - about 13 different models - but unfortunately, they seem to be mainly later war uniforms, wearing field caps and with short boots and anklets rather than jack boots......

  3. Very nice Keith, can’t now remember where I got my motorcycle squad, we have found they often want to dismount so you may need a few figures to represent this as well 👍

  4. Very nice sculpts - full of character. As Matt said - you’re probably going to need some dismounts too!

  9. Once again 1st Corps puts out good looking sculpts! Good choices mate, these will match up nicely I think with the 3D prints.

  10. They're great looking figures, even when not painted, so should look topnotch with a lick of paint!

  11. You will have plenty of variety now. I must admit after looking at a friend's 3D printed figures I would feel more comfortable with these metal sculpts, but suitably based it shouldn't matter.

    1. Cheers Lawrence...I am hoping the 3D ones don't prove too fragile for tabletop use...time will tell, I guess!

  12. They should make for some interesting games Keith…
I think the command and support companies used Kubelwagens or other “JeepType” vehicles, which would give a nice mix to play with.

    All the best. Aly

  14. Those 1st Corps sculpts look great, Keith. You've also reminded me that I don't have any motorcycle troops myself, and may need some too.
