But Wait......There's MORE!

Like buses, I have waited very patiently for my overseas parcels, then three of them come along at once!

The day after the Perry order arrived, I came home to find two more parcels on my painting desk in the garage. This time, they originated from Caliver - a mixture of Pulp Miniatures, Crusader WWII and some Copplestone Back of Beyond, - and from Nick Eyre North Star Miniatures - more Pulp Miniatures plus a few Bad Squiddo figures.

Almost all of the figures are intended for my Pulp Project, with the exception of a Bolshevik RCW field gun and crew

And here they are - first in original packaging:

Package One

Package Two

Crusader WWII French

Pulp Figures Nazi She Wolves of the SS and Evil High Priestess

Copplestone BoB Figures

Bad Squiddo additions

Pulp Figures from Northstar - She Wolves II and Daughters of the East

Here are the Crusader French figures - very nice they are too

She Wolves I and High Priestess - for some reason one of the Nazis is in an SA uniform....

The Copplestone Warlord Chinese - figure on the far left is female, which was an unexpected bonus!

Bad Squiddo female Samurai

Bad Squiddo Mika and seated WAAF drivers/passengers

Pulp Daughters of the East

Pulp She Wolves II including a Big Dog!

Sooooo...I now have plenty of painting fodder to keep me occupied and motivated over the Festive Season - and still a couple of orders to arrive (excluding you know who....!)

  2. Well that will keep you bust over the festive period

  3. Excellent! Still no sign of your long lost Brigade Games order?

    1. Thanks Jon. Unfortunately not. I am resigned to waiting till the end of January and then contacting Lon again and asking how long USPS think it's reasonable to expect people to wait? It's a bit disappointing as I have occasionally had similar experiences with Old Glory and Front Rank, and they voluntarily sent replacements with no prompting from me, and I feel most wargaming suppliers would do the same but Brigade hasn't even considered it, they just say I will have to wait till the shipping backlog clears....

    2. I suppose next time an alternative courier is needed…me! My little package slipped through.

    3. EXACTLY Jon...in fact, I used that example to prove USPS could still get stuff here six weeks AFTER the parcel went through their NYC facility.....it made no difference though!

When are you going to find time for Xmas when you have all these toys to play with…

    All the best. Aly

    1. Our Christmases tend to be pretty low key now Aly, so I am sure I will be able to squeeze it in 😄

  7. I too thought for a minute it was going to be your missing Brigade Games order. Perhaps it will turn up in the fullness of time, and I had to wait for one from the US for six months. The supplier was just about to replace it when it finally arrived, and I was glad for both our sakes.

    1. Thanks Lawrence - I do understand the international delays and the Noble Knights order I did over a month ago and coming via Fedex is not here yet either so seems like stuff from the US is particularly affected. What I am slightly put out by is the lack of care/responsibility taken by the supplier but maybe eventually it will turn up or I will get refunded/replacement sent (given I paid insurance to cover any such eventuality!)

    2. There is no rhyme or reason for some US shipments lately - I had a NobleKnight order late October take 18 days to get to NZ, so......???

    3. That's about on time as per their estimates Andrew...I think mine may have been a month or five weeks now....it will probably arrive eventually....

    4. Understandable Keith, especially given you have taken out insurance on the shipment. I am now up to three shipments having gone missing, and the responses between the vendors is quite marked.

    1. It certainly is Mark - our company has just hit the wall with freight volume in and out of Auckland and we are having to impose limits on customers on how much we will collect from them as well as having earlier last collection times - we have people working right through the weekend trying to clear the accumulated mountain of freight at our Penrose hub....challenging times and cant see it getting any better until Christmas is past!

  13. Great looking figures, Keith. I suppose I've learned to be patient as since I pre-ordered some Wargames Atlantic stuff - which is still in the works and not ready for prime time yet.

    1. Thanks Stu - and am I looking forward to it - work is HECTIC at the moment - freight volumes are through the roof, we are having to restrict the volumes our Auckland customers can send or our network will grind to a halt....never happened before in over 50 years in business!
