Last of the Gunfighters

A couple of days ago I painted the last of my Black Scorpion female gunfighters. This one is listed as a female deputy and sold as a single figure. I tried to paint her up using the character Ellen from the film "The Quick and The Dead", played by Sharon Stone, as inspiration . The end result doesn't look that much like Sharon, but I am happy with how the figure has turned out.

Multiple images follow, starting with three from the movie to set the scene....ok something weird happened and the third film still is at the very end...doesn't matter, you get the idea!

  2. Cheers Aly, yes it's a very dynamic figure. You may recall, I was a bit nervous about working with resin figures for the first time, but they have been fine, and the medium certainly allies a lot more fine detail...great little figures all if them!

  4. Thanks Jonathan ....it's back to British Napoleonic cavalry for me now...and winging their way from Front Rank at this very moment are two battalions worth of Cacadores to join the painting queue.

    1. Yours is another example of a post that got me seeing a film that I'd not previously watched. I enjoyed it too. 'Classic' good v bad western with some really good, dark humour. Gene Hackman steals the show, but 'our' Russ and Shazza were good to. I was impressed by the young Leonardo as well. 'Magnificent Seven' it ain't (referring to the original of course), but a fun film with enjoyable characters (one-dimensional and cartoon-like, but that was intended I'd say). A few good moral points too.

  14. Cheerrs Nate....the hair isn't quite right...TOO blonde (if there is such a thing!) ...but I am happy with the way the figure turned out. No doubt, she will die on the first move when she finally makes it into a game!
