Size Comparison

After my recent post showing the four Minden Miniatures civilians, a couple of people asked for size comparison photos - so here we go

Group 1

L-R - Old Glory, Eureka, Minden, Eureka, Hinterland, Copplestone, Minden, Brigade, Wargames Factory Plastic

Group 2

L-R - Perry Plastic, Minden, Front Rank, Redoubt, Minden, Old Glory, Foundry

Hope this is of interest to a few at least!

    1. You are welcome Ray - sorry, not qualified to offer an opinion as have never seen a Trent Miniature in the flesh...

  4. A bit underfed, but I think they will mix fine on the table.

    1. Thanks Phil ...not very exciting but it was only intended to show the comparative size of the Minden figures

  6. Always useful. The thing that throws me off is when you have a manufacturer who employs several different sculptors as the height variation can sometimes be quite marked.

    1. Absolutely agree Lawrence...years ago I painted some Ol Glory Pony Wars figures for my friend Julian and even within the same range, it was patently obvious there had been two different sculptors at work...completely different styles and proportions!

    1. Thanks Iain, and I agree...I would add that, like Airfix if forty years ago, the proportions are actually more realistic...most figures contain a greater or lesser degree of poetic license/caricature in their portrayal of the human body and the belts and equipment they carry/wear

  8. A great post always useful especially when you are looking to make a purchase. It does look like the Minden gents look like they need feeding up :-)
